Tim Minchin – White Wine in the Sun (Muvizu Animation)

This fantastic song from the Australian comedian and songwriter Tim Minchin expresses exactly how I feel about Christmas. Buy this song from iTunes before February 1st and all proceeds go to the National Autistic Society. Made using Muvizu – the free animation software.

Best of YouTube: This amazing video uses stop-motion animation and post-it notes to create a real work of art. You have to watch this video. WOW!

“The best Muvizu movie made to date” [2]

    Breathless.

  6. I love this. Such an adequately-put backlash against people who complain that atheists shouldn’t celebrate Christmas (says who? Your God? I’m quaking in my boots), while also being extremely sensitive and gently-sung. How lovely.

  7. Levaleton says:

belle chanson + belle prestation de chanteur + belle vidéo = très bon résultats.
    J’aime beaucoup..

I had not heard of this song before, but was totally blown away. It is beautiful and caught me by surprise. By the end, I must say that I had a lump in my throat. Brilliant!

  9. Beautiful job. Wasn’t sure how I would like this, because I am very attached to this song and to watching him sing it, but you have nailed it. Merry Christmas, happy New Year.

A brilliant animation wich must have taken a very long time to produce even with Muvizu … Very well done ….. and a fantastic song as well .. always good to hear new songs at Christmas

  11. This made me “tear up” as well.
NOT because of the somewhat mawkish lyrics, but because of the awe with which I perceived the vast super-human effort that was invested into the creation of the intricate and appropriate animations.
George Lucas would have had to pay over $1 million to employ someone to conjure up the same!
    Bloody-well done, Berty!

    Awesome, I really love this!

  14. Oh man this video got its first entirely arbitrary Dislike! It’s a YouTube classic now :D

  15. Probably one of the finest, if not the very finest, Muvizu videos I have ever seen. I don’t comment much on many vids, but I thought this one deserves one. The atmosphere is fantastic!

  16. I’ve never heard this song before and if I didn’t know better I might have thought it was the official video. The visuals depicted the song lyrics perfectly and the direction and camera work were just stellar. Somebody else said they were choked up….seconded. Well done!!

  17. LAFITZ10 says:

gave me a feeling of emptiness………….for this, Lord, we pray. Amen

I love this song! I posted it on Facebook and someone from a UU church said that gave them an idea for their Christmas celebration. We need to remember that some people don’t have family or friends that will accept atheists. Unitarian Universalists do, though, and many of our congregations are like family.
